Biannual Litter Cleanup

Join the Effort to Keep Statesville Beautiful at the 2025 Spring Trash Bash!

The City of Statesville is calling on residents to roll up their sleeves and help clean up their community at the Spring Trash Bash 2025! This event, held in conjunction with the NCDOT Litter Sweep, is part of North Carolina’s biannual roadside litter removal initiative. The Spring Trash Bash will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, offering an opportunity for residents to make a visible difference in their city.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025
  • Check-In: 9a – 10:00a
  • Cleanup: 10a – 12:00p
  • Appreciation Cookout: 12p – 1:30p at Statesville Fire Station 1 (Trash Bash Volunteers Only)

Meeting Locations: 

Volunteers will be assigned to one of the locations listed below and will meet at their designated site.

Upon arrival, they will receive maps outlining the nearby streets to be cleaned.

Volunteer Information & Safety Guidelines

The City of Statesville will provide gloves, safety vests, and trash bags for all participants.

Volunteers must sign a waiver prior to participation. The event is open to children ages 12 and up and adults, and we encourage individuals, families, civic groups, school organizations, and local businesses to take part. 

City employees will also be volunteering at each location.

NOTE: Restrooms will be available at each location for use by Volunteers.

Registration & Appreciation Cookout


Participants will register online, selecting a preferred meeting location and a second-choice location. Each volunteer will receive a wristband, which will grant them access to a special appreciation cookout hosted by the Statesville Fire Department at Fire Station 1 from 12p – 1:30p Volunteers can enjoy hotdogs and hamburgers as a thank-you for their service.

The Spring Trash Bash 2025 is a great way to connect with neighbors, give back to the community, and help keep Statesville clean and beautiful.
