Champions and Community: Celebrating Statesville's JV and Varsity Girls Basketball Triumphs here at the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department
We want to extend my deepest gratitude for everyone involved in the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department's JV and Varsity Girls Basketball. This season has been a testament to the dedication, skill, and passion of all participants, from the players to the myriad of volunteers who have made everything possible. Our coaches, team moms, assistant coaches, coordinators, and, importantly, the parents, have played pivotal roles in nurturing and developing the talent and spirit of these young athletes.
The players, on both JV and Varsity teams, have shown incredible hard work and dedication throughout the season. Your perseverance and commitment were evident to all who watched and supported you. The culmination of your efforts was brilliantly displayed during our championship night, where we witnessed two intense and thrilling games.
The JV Girls' game, featuring the #1 seed Cool Springs against the #3 seed Central, showcased a spectacular upset, with Central securing a 20-8 victory against the undefeated Cool Springs team.
In the Varsity Girls' game, the undefeated Cloverleaf Pink team demonstrated their dominance with a decisive 25-8 win over Central. Congratulations to all players for an amazing season and to the championship teams for their hard-earned victories.

JV Champions: Central (Ward)
JV Runner Up: Cool Springs (Dalrymple)
These moments of triumph and the journey leading up to them underscore the importance of community and teamwork. The success of our leagues and the development of our young athletes would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers who invest their time and energy into making a positive impact.
