Celebrating Triumph and Teamwork: The Statesville Recreation & Parks Department's Varsity Boys Basketball Final
The Statesville Recreation & Parks Department would like to once again take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a pivotal role in orchestrating a successful season.
From the dedicated Varsity Boys Coaches who guided their teams with expertise and enthusiasm to the invaluable volunteers—team moms, assistant coaches, coordinators, and supportive parents—each individual's contribution was crucial in nurturing the talents and spirits of these young athletes.
This season's achievements underscore the indispensable value of community involvement in youth sports, highlighting how collective efforts can foster an environment where children thrive not only as players but also as individuals.
The championship night was nothing short of spectacular, featuring two intensely competitive games that showcased the skills and determination of four talented men's teams.
In the Varsity Boy’s B Bracket Championship, #1 seed Harmony (Smyre) faced off against #3 seed Cool Springs B (Lowery) in a gripping contest. Despite Harmony's strong start, Cool Springs B surged ahead in the second half to clinch the victory with a decisive 37-21 win, earning them the tournament championship title.

Undefeated teams #1 Central B (Steele) and #2 Cloverleaf White (Harrison) battled it out in a match filled with dramatic comebacks and lead changes, culminating in a 42-32 victory for Cloverleaf White. Their triumph not only secured the championship title but also capped off an undefeated season, marking a memorable milestone for the team and their supporters.
