Spring Youth Track & Field at the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department

Calling all budding track stars and future field champions – this is your golden opportunity to join a dynamic community of young athletes and embark on a journey of skill development, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. Youth Recreation Track & Field (Grades 3rd-8th):
League Information:
JV - 3rd & 4th Grades
Varsity - 5th & 6th Grades
Middle School - 6th - 8th Grades
**Note: Sixth graders can compete in either the Varsity or the Middle School Division but cannot compete in both. 2nd Graders can compete in the JV with Parent's approval and signed release.**
Registration Opens: December 1, 2024
Registration Closes: February 1, 2025
Practices begin mid-February 2025
Games begin the first weekend in March 2025.
Registration Fee: $70
Events: 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 1600M, 4 x 100M Relay, 4 x 200M Relay, 4 x 400M Relay, Shot Put, Discuss, Long Jump, and High Jump
Meets: The league will host four (4) meets. Three (3) Regular Season events and one (1) County Championship. All events will be hosted at the four (4) high schools.

The City of Statesville Recreation and Parks Department created the HUB System to partner with local Elementary School Athletic Associations to ensure consistency, inclusion, oversight, and transparency in youth athletics. The HUB system aids the Recreation & Parks Department by simplifying the registration process while also giving each organization a voice in improving our youth sports programs.
