Celebrating Robin Sprinkle’s Retirement: A Legacy of Service to Statesville

Last Updated 1/2/2025

After decades of dedicated service to the City of Statesville, Robin Sprinkle is embarking on a well-deserved retirement.

Robin has been an integral part of the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department, where her role as an Administrative Associate showcased her exceptional customer service and steadfast dedication to the community.

Her journey with the City is marked by a blend of professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine connection with the people she served.

Robin’s career began on January 17, 1989, when she joined the City of Statesville as an Office Assistant for Wastewater under City Manager Pete Connet. She worked at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, fondly known as “Fort Hudson,” before transitioning to her role in Collections. In 1998, Robin chose to leave full-time work to focus on raising her young children. However, her commitment to the city never wavered. On February 6, 2012, she returned as an Administrative Associate for Recreation & Parks, under the leadership of John Bullard. Robin’s contributions over the years helped shape a welcoming and efficient environment for both staff and the public.

During her tenure at the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department, Robin became a cornerstone of the team, managing inquiries, directing patrons, and always ensuring the highest standard of service. Her kindness, humor, and reliability made her a favorite among colleagues and visitors alike.

As Robin stepped into retirement on December 31, 2024, she looks forward to the opportunity to see what adventures lie ahead—without specific plans, but with an open mind and heart. When asked what she’ll miss most, Robin didn’t hesitate: the people and the environment at the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center.

Robin, thank you for your contributions to the City of Statesville. We appreciate your dedication. You will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to work with you.

We wish you the best in this exciting new chapter of your life. Happy retirement!
