Discover Stories, Traditions, and Perspectives at the Statesville Heritage Festival
The Statesville Heritage Festival is more than a day of great food, live entertainment, and family fun - it's an opportunity to learn from one another and celebrate the many cultures, traditions, and experiences that make our community unique.
Throughout the day, the Media Room at the Statesville Event Center will host a series of Community Conversations & Presentations, featuring local organizations, cultural leaders, historians, and community members sharing stories, traditions, and perspectives that have helped shape Statesville.
Visitors are invited to stop in, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations while learning about the people and cultures that continue to enrich our community.

Current Schedule:
- 11:30am-12:00pm: Iredell County Public Library – Crimes of the Carolina’s Podcast with Shellie Taylor
- 12:00pm-12:30pm: Iredell County Public Library – Green Street Cemetery Project
- 12:30pm-1:00pm: Spoken Word
- 1:00pm-1:30pm: Alfonso Reyes – Impact of Latino culture on Statesville
- 1:30pm-2:00pm: Dorothy Woodard
- 2:00pm-2:30pm: Tedx Speaker, Mayuko Fukino-Mayhill – Traditional Japanese stories and folklores
- 3:00pm-3:30pm: Seifullah El-Amin – Q & A on the Muslim community in Statesville
Additional presentations and discussion sessions will be announced as they are confirmed.
These presentations are just one part of a full day celebrating the people, traditions, and cultures that have shaped Statesville. The Statesville Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Statesville Event Center, 300 S. Center Street. Admission is FREE and everyone is invited.
