Big improvements are coming to our Climbing Wall and lobby area at the Statesville Recreation Center (The Rec)!
Construction has begun on the new wall enclosure to create a more controlled environment for our climbers and spectators. This enclosure will also incorporate a new scan-in system for our members who utilize group fitness classes and the fitness room.

For everyone’s safety, the Climbing Wall will be closed during construction and will remain fully closed through at least the end of May 2026.

Designed for participants aged 18 and older, this class provides hands-on training to safely and effectively use the auto belay system on our climbing wall. Whether you’re new to climbing or looking to enhance your experience, this certification gives you the freedom to climb any time the wall is available outside of regularly scheduled wall times.
