Sweet Moments at the AIR Program Valentine’s Dance

Laughter and plenty of dancing filled the room at the recent Valentine’s Dance hosted by the Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) Program. Held at the Statesville Recreation Center, the event brought together participants, friends, and families for a joyful evening of music, fun, and connection.

The room was decorated with festive Valentine’s flair as attendees hit the dance floor, enjoyed great music, and shared plenty of smiles throughout the evening. From dancing with friends to enjoying light refreshments, the event created a welcoming space where everyone could celebrate and simply have fun together.

Events like the Valentine’s Dance are an important part of the AIR Program’s mission to provide inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. These gatherings help build community, encourage self-expression, and create meaningful experiences for participants and their families.
