Fall Fun and Learning on Teacher Workdays at the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department
When school is out, the fun is just beginning with the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department’s Teacher Workday Program! Designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade students, this program gives parents peace of mind and kids an unforgettable day filled with creativity, adventure, and connection.
Students joined us for two exciting Teacher Workdays packed with hands-on activities, outdoor play, and seasonal surprises.
🍁 Monday, October 13, 2025: Carrigan Farms + North Main Park
Our first fall Teacher Workday took us to Carrigan Farms, where students picked their very own pumpkins straight from the patch! The day continued with games and outdoor fun at North Main Park, where laughter, sunshine, and smiles filled the air. It was the perfect blend of fall festivities and fresh air!
🎨 Tuesday, October 14, 2025: Pumpkin Painting + the Statesville Park & Soccer Complex
The following day, creativity was in full swing at the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center as students painted pumpkins and created their own fall masterpieces. After the crafts, everyone headed to the Statesville Park & Soccer Complex for more outdoor play and recreation. The combination of art and activity made for a fun-filled day that kept everyone smiling!

Each day features a new adventure, from themed crafts to field trips and recreational activities, ensuring no two days are ever the same!
📍 All programs are based at the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center (1875 Simonton Rd, Statesville).
💲 Cost: $30 per child per day
🥪 Participants bring their own lunch.
