Looking for an outdoor space to hold a birthday party, baby shower, family reunion, or other event? Shelters or other various parks or property space at the City of Statesville offer the perfect outdoor setting for your next event.

The Statesville Recreation & Parks Department has 7 parks with rentable shelter space!

Shelter Reservation Fees: All shelters are available at a flat rate of $15 per hour. Our aim is to keep our beautiful outdoor spaces accessible and affordable for everyone in our community.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How many people can a shelter hold?

A: Most shelters have between 6-10 picnic tables.

Do the shelters have grills, or can I bring my own?

A: Shelters do not have grills. You can bring your own grill, but gas grills are the only types of grills permitted in our parks.

Can I rent the “big” shelter at MLKJ Park?

A: There is not a “big” shelter. East Shelter 1 and East Shelter 2 sit side by side resembling one shelter, but it is actually two shelters that are rented separately.

Can I have an inflatable?

A: Yes, inflatables are permitted, but there are specific requirements.

You must pay an additional $25 non-refundable inflatable fee. Inflatables must be powered by a generator and not plugged in to any outlets. NO waterslides or water inflatables. The inflatable company of your choosing must have liability insurance on file with the Administrative Office or be able to present a copy. We currently have Old Time Concessions and Mr. Bounce on file with insurance.
